ETIX is a Linux distribution with 2 goal. Light desktop and environment to learn about java and other language. By now Etix not yet release, but I try to release ETIX v.0.1 as fast as possible. Etix has motto “simple, useful and beautiful”.

- Kernel 2.6.x
- Xorg -6.9 with EDE desktop 1.2 and WindowMaker
- Sun Java Development Kit 1.6
- BlueJ Environment to learn OOP in Java
- Jedit Simple Editor With many Plugin
- Jext, Free Java Programmer Editor
- Siag office
- And Other Java software
- The special IDE is NetBeans
